MetroAction, a leader in northeastern Pennsylvania small business lending, and Samuel Adams have partnered to provide food, beverage and hospitality small business owners in eastern Pennsylvania with the tools they need to help their businesses succeed.

Brewing the American Dream Program Offers:

  • Small business loans from $500-$25,000: Food and beverage small business owners can get the capital needed to expand or start a business, purchase inventory or equipment, market a business, pay licensing fees, and more!
  • Financial and business education seminars: Through free seminars, MetroAction and Samuel Adams give expert guidance, answer questions and help solve small business challenges.
  • Speed coaching events: Small business owners can meet with Samuel Adams' employees and other experts to gain customized business advice on a range of topics: marketing, distribution, accounting, and more.

Eligibility Requirements:

The Brewing the American Dream program is the right fit for start-up and existing business owners who meet the following basic requirements:

  • Must be a food, beverage or hospitality business*
  • Must be located within Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Schuylkill, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties**
  • Have a credit score of at least 500 or higher
  • No bankruptcies or foreclosures in the past 24 months
  • No late rent or mortgage payments in the past 12 months
  • Are up-to-date on all bills
  • Sufficient cash flow to comfortably support monthly loan payments
  • Can provide a co-signer if needed
  • If the business is not yet profitable, borrower must have external income that is fully able to support the loan

Rates, fees and terms:

  • Competitive annual interest rates from 7.49% to 12.99%
  • Loan terms up to 60 months
  • No prepayment penalty
  • $25 pre-qualification application fee
